Woman Injured in Mission Bay Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Sea World Drive
San Diego, California (March 5, 2021) – A woman was seriously injured after her vehicle rolled down a creek following a two-vehicle collision near Mission Bay in San Diego on Thursday night.
The crash happened at about 9:10 p.m. March 4, on Interstate 5 Freeway near the Sea World Drive offramp.
Two vehicles reportedly collided on the freeway in unclear circumstances. The impact of the collision sent one of the cars off the roadway and down Tecolote Creek.
A woman had to be pulled out of the vehicle before being rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other driver was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
