Woman Killed in Menifee Pedestrian Crash on Whembly Circle near Cherry Hinton Street
Menifee, California (June 11, 2021) – A woman died after being struck by a car in Menifee on Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. June 10, on Whembly Circle near Cherry Hinton Street.
The woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck that was pulling out of a driveway.
The 35-year-old man who was driving the car stopped at the scene and called 911.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the incident and pronounced the woman dead at the scene of the accident.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The driver was not arrested.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
