Woman Killed and Man Injured in Car Accident on Placer Hills Road in Meadow Vista, Placer County
Placer County, California (March 19, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened near Meadow Vista in Placer County on Friday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Placer Hills Road near Pinewood Way at about 6:11 a.m.
A Subaru was traveling southbound on Placer Hills Road when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on an oncoming Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The 59-year-old female driver of the pickup truck was killed in the accident.
The man who was driving the Subaru was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
