Woman Dies, 2 Men Injured in San Jose Crash at Agave Sports Bar on West Alma Avenue
San Jose, California (June 12, 2021) – A woman was killed and two men injured after a vehicle slammed into the outdoor dining area in San Jose on Friday night, according to San Jose police.
The incident happened just after 9 p.m. June 11, at Agave Sports Bar on West Alma Avenue
According to the police, a suspected drunk driver, Alex Moreno, was sitting in a parked white 2017 Chevrolet Silverado truck when he accidentally placed the vehicle in reverse and proceeded to back up at a high rate of speed.
Unfortunately, the vehicle struck one adult female and two adult males that were sitting at the outdoor dining area.

All three were transported to a local hospital where the female victim succumbed to her injuries.
Moreno was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the accident. He was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
