Santa Ana, California (November 21, 2020) – A woman was killed and two officers injured in an alleged DUI crash on Friday night in Santa Ana, police said.

The deadly accident happened at about 11:20 p.m., on November 20, in the 1300 block of North Lowell Street.

As per the official’s report, the officers were clearing the scene of a trespassing call when an eastbound Honda crashed head-on into their marked police SUV, which was parked.

The woman, who was a passenger in the Honda, was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The two officers suffered some pain and were hospitalized as a precaution.

Jesus Emmanuel Perez of Santa Ana, who was the Honda’s driver, was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Perez was booked into the Santa Ana Jail.
