Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident at Pomerado Road and Stone Canyon Road in Rancho Bernardo
Rancho Bernardo, California (November 6, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a car at an intersection in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident was reported at about 3:55 p.m. November 5, at the intersection of Pomerado and Stone Canyon roads.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 42-year-old woman was crossing Pomerado Road when she was hit by a westbound Toyota Prius driven by a 42-year-old woman.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries including fractures to her arm, pelvis, tibia and fibula.
The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
CHP said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
