Indio, California (March 10, 2020) – A woman was injured in a car crash in Indio on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Monroe Street near Highway 111 at about 8:30 a.m. March 9.
A man was driving a Dodge Dart was traveling on the roadway when she lost control and crashed into a power pole.
A female passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured in the collision and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver fled the scene before the police arrived.
