56-Year-Old Woman Killed in Ashland Pedestrian Crash at Mission Boulevard and Gilbert Street

Ashland, California (January 15, 2021) – A 56-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in Ashland, Alameda County, authorities said.
At about 7:30 p.m., on January 14, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly pedestrian accident at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Gilbert Street.
According to the officials, the 56-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Mission Boulevard from east to west in a crosswalk when a silver Acura MDX struck her.

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver, a 50-year-old Castro Valley man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
