Motorcyclist Killed in Winchester Accident on Highway 79 near Stetson Avenue
Winchester, California (November 12, 2020) – A motorcyclist was hit and killed by a big rig on Wednesday afternoon in Winchester, authorities said.
At about 1:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident on Highway 79 near Stetson Avenue.
The CHP said the motorcyclist struck the back of a vehicle then swerved into the opposing side of the two-lane thoroughfare into the path of a big rig.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was struck by the semi-truck, the officials said.

Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped due to the accident. As of 4:45 p.m., the highway was reopened.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
