Winchester Accident at Highway 79 and Washington Street Injures 2 Parties
Winchester, California (May 9, 2021) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles at an intersection in Winchester Friday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash site at approximately 2:09 p.m. in the area of Highway 79 and Washington Street.
As per the report, a Chrysler PT Cruiser crashed with a second automobile at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Due to the impact, two people were pinned inside the wreckage and had to be extricated by firefighters.
Winchester Accident Results in Major Injuries
The two victims were rushed to the Inland Valley Medical Center after the crash. One of the patients sustained moderate injuries, while the other one was treated for major injuries.
Officials said a third party declined to be attended by paramedics.
The accident resulted in the closure of the Winchester intersection for an unknown time.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
