Sacramento County, California (February 1, 2021) – A Wilton woman was killed and a man was hospitalized Sunday night following an alleged DUI car accident in southeastern Sacramento County, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, January 31, at the intersection of Florin Road and Bradshaw Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP, the 32-year-old Wilton woman was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla westbound on Florin Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by a 2012 Toyota Tundra that was traveling southbound on Bradshaw Road.

After the impact, the Tundra rolled over and landed on the driver’s side in a field while the Corolla came to a rest in a lane on Bradshaw Road.

Deadly DUI Car Crash on Florin Road in Sacramento County

The driver of the Corolla, whose name was withheld pending notification of her relatives, died at the scene. She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, authorities said.

The Tundra’s driver, a 37-year-old Sacramento man, was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt.

It was not immediately known which driver was suspected of driving under the influence.

The crash remains under investigation.
