Whittier, California (January 10, 2020) – A man was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle collision that happened on Thursday night, January 9, in Whittier.
The accident was reported at about 10 p.m. on Pomona (60) Freeway near San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The authorities said 42-year-old Kaj Wendall Faaborg, of La Puente, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck when he collided with a Ford Mustang for unknown reasons.

A Honda and a Toyota were also involved in the accident.
The Mustang burst into flames after the collision.
One person in the Mustang was killed in the accident.
The identity of the victim was not immediately
Two occupants of the Toyota were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Faaborg fled the scene after the accident but was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run.
No other information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
