1 Killed, Several Hurt in Whittier Car Crash at Mar Vista Street and Colima Road
Whittier, California (June 18, 2019) – One person was killed and several injured in a traffic collision that involved two vehicles in Whittier Sunday afternoon.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 2:47 p.m. June 16, at Mar Vista Street and Colima Road.
As per the police report, the accident happened when a vehicle traveling east on Mar Vista Street struck the rear of another car in front for reasons still under investigation. Due to the impact of the collision, both vehicles ended in the intersection and crashed with a car that was headed south on Colima Road at the time.

One party sustained severe injuries following the wreck. The victim was taken to the hospital where later was pronounced dead. Several victims involved in the mishap suffered unspecified injuries in the accident. The identities of both the deceased and the injured parties have not yet been released to this time.
It was not clear whether or not drugs or alcohol were factors at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, the leading cause of the crash is under investigation.
