Rider Injured in West Sacramento Traffic Accident on US Highway 50
West Sacramento, California (June 18, 2019) – A Motorcyclist suffered injuries in a traffic collision that involved a car and motorbike on Tuesday afternoon in West Sacramento.
The crash was reported at approximately 1:53 p.m. June 18, on US Highway 50.
The accident happened when a black Honda Accord in the No. 3 lane collided with a black Harley Davidson motorcycle for unknown reasons.
Motorcyclist Injured After Car and Motorcycle Crash in West Sacramento
The motorcycle rider was found lying down by the Sacramento Fire Department who responded at the scene shortly after the accident. The rider suffered unspecified injuries following the wreck.
It was not clear whether or not the driver of the involved car stopped after the collision and cooperated with the authorities.
The California Highway Patrol officials are still investigating to identify why the accident occurred.
Motorcycle collisions happen when visibility lowers and it is often during the late hours of the evening. Accidents are caused by drivers who make unsafe lane changes.
