Wayne Ortman ID’d as Victim Killed in Ojai Motorcycle Accident on Highway 33
Ojai, California (May 29, 2020) – Wayne Ortman, 35, of Ventura, has been identified as the victim who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday morning in Ojai, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m., on May 25, on Highway 33, in Los Padres National Forest land. Highway 33 is also known as Maricopa Highway.
The officials said a Subaru, driven by a 65-year-old man, was turning southbound from the northbound dirt shoulder on Highway 33 when a Honda CBR1000, operated by Ortman, struck the passenger-side front door of the Subaru.
Ortman was traveling southbound on the Highway at the time, said the police.

Ortman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 66-year-old woman, who was in the front passenger seat of the Subaru, sustained minor injuries. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Subaru driver was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
