Watsonville Accident on Beach Street Left One Person Dead
Watsonville, California (December 16, 2020) – One person died after being struck by a vehicle in Watsonville Tuesday morning, a local news source reported.
The Watsonville police responded to the fatal crash site at about 1:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Beach Street.
A 42-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while pushing a cart of recyclables in the street’s westbound lane in the morning hours.
The involved driver, a 22-year-old party, said he did not see the male party at the collision time. However, he stopped at the scene and cooperated with the law.
Fatal Watsonville Accident Tuesday Morning
The victim died following the wreck.
Meanwhile, officials did not believe DUI or cell phone use were factors in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
