Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Wasco Accident on E Street

Wasco, California (July 14, 2021) – A 78-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a pedestrian accident in Wasco Sunday afternoon, July 11.
The hit-and-run collision happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of E Street.
As per the report, an individual was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene after the crash.
The man sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The suspect, 66-year-old Samuel Perez, was subsequently apprehended in a car in the 1900 block of D Street and charged with hit-and-run causing injury, careless driving, resisting or delaying arrest, drug possession, and driving without a license, among other charges.
