Walnut Creek, CA: Multi-Vehicle Hit-and-Run Crash on 680 Freeway

Walnut Creek, California (August 24, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash that happened Sunday night on 680 Freeway in Walnut Creek.

According to a California Highway Patrol release, five vehicles collided at about 9:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway, just south of Treat Boulevard off-ramp.

The report said this was a hit-and-run accident but did not give more details.

An ambulance responded to the scene to help the motorists who sustained possible injuries.

Three of the vehicles involved in the crash, including a tan Nissan Sentra, a Nissan Altima and a gray sedan, acquired front-end damage in the crash.

CHP is investigating the accident.
