Woman Hurt in Walnut Creek Car Accident on Interstate 680 and Main Street
Walnut Creek, California (February 22, 2019) – A female driver was injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Walnut Creek, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash was reported at about 9:00 a.m. February 21, on Interstate 680 south of the Main Street exit.
Police said the crash involved three vehicles. A Kia Sportage which was being operated by a female driver struck the rear of a Mercedes Sprinter as both cars approached the South Main Street exit.
No details about the third vehicle involved in the crash were given.
The driver of the Kia was transported by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek after complaining of pain.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
