Minor Injuries Sustained in Walnut Creek Multi-Car Crash on Highway 24 near 680 Freeway
Walnut Creek, California (December 31, 2020) – Multiple vehicles collided Wednesday night on Highway 24 in Walnut Creek, resulting in minor injuries, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Four vehicles collided at about 11:23 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway, just west of 680 Freeway.
Officers responded to the scene and closed all eastbound lanes except the No. 1 lane.
An unknown number of parties sustained minor injuries in the crash, and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene to offer medical aid. It remained unclear if anyone was hospitalized.
All lanes were reopened at around 12:27 p.m.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
