Walnut Creek, CA: CHP Investigating Thursday Afternoon Car Crash on 680 Freeway
Minor Injuries Sustained in Walnut Creek Crash on 680 Freeway near S Main Street Off-Ramp
Walnut Creek, California (October 9, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol officers said two vehicles collided Thursday afternoon in Walnut Creek, resulting in minor injuries.
A gray Honda Civic and a green Toyota Prius were involved in the accident at around 4:28 p.m. on northbound 680 Freeway, just south of S Main Street off-ramp.
A female party in the Prius called authorities reporting the accident. The male driver of the Civic was out of his vehicle standing in the center divider behind the Prius.
First responders said the accident resulted in minor injuries. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to help the victims.
The No. 2 lane was temporarily closed following the accident.
CHP is investigating the collision.
