Viviana Lujano Identified as Oceanside Woman Killed in Indio Car Crash at Indio Boulevard and Van Buren Street
Indio, California (August 14, 2020) – Viviana Lujano, 27, of Oceanside, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a Thursday morning traffic collision in Indio.
The deadly accident occurred at about 7:45 a.m., on August 13, at the intersection of Indio Boulevard and Van Buren Street.
According to the police, A Honda sedan, driven by Lujano, rear-ended a street-sweeping vehicle, which was waiting at a red light at the intersection.
As a result of the collision, the Honda reportedly flipped onto its roof.

Lujano sustained critical injuries in the crash. She was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she succumbed to her injuries at about 8:47 a.m.
Lujano’s husband and their 17-month-old child were also in the Honda. They were not injured in the accident.
The driver of the street sweeper also was uninjured.
Traffic at the intersection was stopped until about noon due to the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
