Man Killed in Vista Pedestrian Crash on Highway 78 near Melrose Drive
Vista, California (October 30, 2020) – A man in his 30’s was struck and killed by at least one vehicle on Friday morning in Vista, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Highway 78 near Melrose Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 23-year-old Oceanside woman, was traveling westbound on the highway when the man ran across the roadway.
Unfortunately, the Hyundai struck the pedestrian, the officials said.

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
According to the officials, more vehicles may have also struck the pedestrian before first responders arrived at the scene.
