Vista, CA: Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 76
At Least 1 Dead, Another Injured in State Route 76 Crash near E. Vista Way
Vista, California (January 21, 2019) – At least one person was killed and another was hospitalized Monday night following a multi-vehicle collision in Vista, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The tragic crash took at about 6:30 p.m. on State Route 76 near E. Vista Way.
The CHP said for an unknown reason multiple vehicles collided on eastbound State Route 76.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene while another was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. The names of both the deceased and the injured victim have not been disclosed.
Authorities closed two left lanes on the highway during the investigation.
No further details were immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.
