Visalia Skateboard Accident on Riggin Avenue near Shirk Road Kills 14-Year-Old Victim
Visalia, California (November 18, 2020) – A teenager, 4, died after being struck by a vehicle on October 30 in Visalia.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal crash site just before 8:45 p.m. on Riggin Avenue near Shirk Road.
A Ford pick-up, on an unlit section of the highway, struck the boy while riding a skateboard westbound on Riggin Avenue.
Heath Burkhead, who was driving the Ford, stopped following the wreck and cooperated with the law.

Sadly, the victim died at Kaweah Delta Medical Center while undergoing treatment.
Officials did not believe intoxication was a factor in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
