Bakersfield, California (June 16, 2021) – The authorities are searching for Vicente Rodriguez Ruiz, 67, following a hit-and-run crash that took place in Bakersfield on June 1.
According to the Bakersfield police, the accident occurred on Chester Avenue and 10th Street at about 10 a.m.
Ruiz is suspected to be the driver who fled from the scene after striking an adult woman and a 3-year-old boy in the area.

The two victims were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Police said Ruiz is a Hispanic man with gray hair and brown eyes. He was driving a gray or blue 2000s-model Honda 4-door sedan and is known to frequently visit businesses in the 2100 block of Edison Highway.
The Bakersfield Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.
