Ventura County, California (April 11, 2021) – Several people were injured and one was airlifted to a hospital following a traffic collision involving a car and two motorcycles late Saturday afternoon in Ventura County, according to a local news source.

The accident, which was reported at about 3:55 p.m. Saturday, April 10, happened on Pacific Coast Highway near Tonga Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a four-door BMW and two motorcycles collided for unknown reasons on Pacific Coast Highway. One of the motorcycles was described as a Harley-Davidson.

The CHP said about three to four people were injured as a result of the collision. One motorcyclist was transported to Ventura County Medical Center via a helicopter with major injuries.

The second motorcyclist and a 9-year-old child were taken by ground ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center. The names of the injured parties and their condition were not immediately disclosed.

Pacific Coast Highway was shut down near popular Neptune’s Net restaurant following the crash. Caltrans was dispatched to the scene to clean the oil that spilled across the highway.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
