Man Dies in Ventura Train Crash near Hurst and Ocean Avenues
Ventura, California (April 28, 2019) – A man was hit and killed by a train on Saturday afternoon in Ventura, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at about 1:42 p.m. April 27, near Hurst and Ocean avenues.
The authorities said the man was struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train that was going southbound at the time.

The victim died at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The train was carrying 109 people at the time and none of them was hurt.
The Ventura police and Amtrak officials are investigating the crash.
