Ventura, CA: Man Critically Injured in Car Crash on Harbor Boulevard
3 Injured, 1 Critically in Harbor Boulevard Crash near Schooner Drive in Ventura
Ventura, California (September 21, 2019) – A man was critically hurt Friday morning after being involved in a head-on collision on Harbor Boulevard in Ventura, a local news source reported.
The incident happened just before 9 a.m. near Schooner Drive.
As per the article, Ventura police said the crash involved a van and another car. One of the vehicles was traveling east, and the other was traveling west on Harbor Boulevard.
Authorities said, for unknown reasons, one of the vehicles crossed over the median and onto oncoming traffic prompting a head-on collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated a man trapped in the van which was leaking gasoline.
That man and two other victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. The man sustained life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
