Two Injured, 1 Arrested after Ventura Car Crash on 101 Freeway near Main Street
Ventura, California (June 2, 2019) – Two people were injured in a crash involving a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning in Ventura, according to the authorities.
The collision happened at about 12:30 a.m. June 1, on the I-101 Freeway, just south of Main Street.
The authorities said two vehicles were involved in the crash, which pushed both down the embankment off the northbound 101 Freeway.
Two Hurt in Ventura Traffic Accident
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the incident and attended to a male and female victims. The two were then taken to a hospital with the woman suffering serious injuries.
An involved driver reportedly tried to flee the scene but was caught and arrested by the authorities.
The parties involved in the crash were not immediately identified.
The crash is under investigation.
