Van Nuys, California (November 7, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a fatal traffic collision that happened Thursday morning in Van Nuys.

The crash, which left one person dead and another critically injured, occurred at about 7:10 a.m. in the 16400 block of West Roscoe Boulevard.

Firefighters responded to the scene where a white Tesla and a white sedan had collided.

According to Los Angeles Fire dispatcher Margaret Stewart, two patients had to be extricated from one of the cars.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The other patient was hospitalized in critical condition.

Both vehicles acquired significant damage. The white sedan was left in front of a bus shelter with its truck open. The Tesla acquired major hood damage.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
