2 Men Seriously Injured in Valley Center Crash on Valley Center Road near Lilac Road

Valley Center, California (May 11, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon traffic accident that left two men seriously injured in Valley Center.
The major injury accident transpired at about 1:15 p.m., on May 7, on Valley Center Road, north of Lilac Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2008 Ford F-450, driven by a 56-year-old Valley Center man, lost control, veered to the right off the roadway and hit a fire hydrant, then re-entered the street and struck two trees in a center median.
The Ford then drifted into a northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2018 Lexus ES350 driven by a 50-year-old Escondido resident, the officials said.
2 Men Injured in Crash on Valley Center Road
Both men sustained life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
