2 Killed in Valley Center Car Accident on Valley Center Road near Lilac Road
Valley Center, California (February 12, 2019) – Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a head-on collision on a roadway in Valley Center, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident occurred at around 6:15 a.m. on Valley Center Road near Lilac Road, several miles southwest of Harrah’s Resort and Casino.
Authorities said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason on Valley Center Road. Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the deceased victims have not been released pending identification and notification of family.
No other injuries were reported.
A SigAlert was issued and both directions of Valley Center Road were shut down as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
