Vallejo, California (February 16, 2019) – Two Vallejo police officers were among four people hospitalized after three vehicles collided in Vallejo early Friday morning.

According to the authorities, the wreck happened in the 700 block of Tuolumne Street near Maxwell Alley around 9 a.m. on Friday, February 15.

Authorities said a police cruiser with two Vallejo officers was responding to a 911 call and was traveling northbound on Tuolumne Street when a Mini Cooper merged from westbound Maxwell Alley and collided with the police vehicle.

The impact caused the police cruiser to spin into the southbound lane, where it collided with a Chevy Cruze.

The two officers were hospitalized alongside the woman driving the Cooper and the man operating the Chevy. Their injuries were minor.

An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
