Rider Critically Hurt in Vacaville Motorcycle Accident on Eastbound 80 Freeway
Vacaville, California (August 11, 2019) – A motorcyclist was critically hurt in a traffic collision in the area of Vacaville Saturday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch
The crash occurred at around 3:43 p.m. August 10, along the 80 Freeway, near the Cherry Glen Road on-ramp.
As per the CHP report, a 2012 black Harley-Davidson motorcycle and possibly three vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the 80 Freeway for an unknown reason. Two of the cars involved were described as red Toyota and a gray Suburban.

The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the crash. Fire department officials, along with the paramedics, responded to the scene and attended to the injured party. The victim was then transported to the hospital for treatment. The identity and the current condition of the injured party have not yet been released.
It was not mentioned whether or not the occupants of the other vehicles were hurt upon impact.
The cause of the crash remains under active investigation.

Speeding – Driving at high speeds reduces the rider’s ability to slow or stop safely in case of a hazard, or slowed or stopped traffic. The rider ends up crashing into other cars or loses control of the motorcycle after applying emergency brakes.
