Vacaville, California (July 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic crash that happened Sunday night in Vacaville, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident took place at about 8:23 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just east of 505 Freeway.

As per the CHP report, the motorcycle collided with a white pickup truck.

The rider sustained major injuries in the accident and needed medical attention. An ambulance was requested to the scene.

The rider’s family showed up at the scene and organized a tow truck for the motorcycle.

CHP is investigating the collision.

Speeding – Driving at high speeds reduces the rider’s ability to slow or stop safely in case of a hazard, or slowed or stopped traffic. The rider ends up crashing into other cars or loses control of the motorcycle after applying emergency brakes.
