Turlock, CA: Two-Car Crash at South Washington and West Harding Roads
19-Year-Old Newman Woman Badly Injured in Turlock Crash at South Washington Road and West Harding Road

Turlock, California (February 24, 2019) – A 19-year-old Newman woman was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident at an intersection southwest of Turlock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 22 at the intersection of South Washington and West Harding roads.
The CHP said a 2010 Toyota Tundra was traveling westbound on Harding Road when it stopped at the Washington Road intersection.
A 2012 Honda Civic driven by the 19-year-old Newman woman, was heading northbound on Washington at approximately 58 mph and had the right of way.
As the Honda neared the intersection, the Toyota started to cross Washington, into the Honda’s path, resulting in the collision.
The driver of the Honda sustained major injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center. Her condition and name at this time remained unknown.
According to the CHP, the Toyota driver was arrested, but it was unclear if drugs or alcohol are suspected factors in the accident. The suspect did not appear in the Stanislaus County Jail booking log Sunday morning.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
