Turlock, California (July 9, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer Friday morning in Turlock, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The deadly crash occurred at around 9:00 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Main Street.

Police said a white man in his 30s was riding his motorcycle on West Main Street when, for an unknown reason, he collided with the tractor-trailer.

Medical personnel responded to the crash site and performed CPR on the motorcyclist. Despite life-saving measures, the man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The operator of the tractor-trailer, who was unhurt, stopped at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

Police closed West Main Street for about three hours during the investigation. According to the police, speed was a factor, and it is undetermined whether intoxication played a role in the collision.
