Tuolumne County, California (April 7, 2021) – A rider was killed Tuesday afternoon in a quad bike accident in the Crystal Falls area of Tuolumne County, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash was reported at around 2:38 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, in the 22800 block of Lazy Z Lane, off Middle Camp Road.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, a quad bike crashed into a tree and overturned.

As a result of the crash, the rider was pinned underneath the quad.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the rider. Despite life-saving measures performed by the first responders, the victim did not survive their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased rider has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
