Firefighter, Police Officer Injured in Exeter Fire Accident on South G Street

Tulare County, California (May 13, 2019) – A police officer and a firefighter were injured in a fire incident on Saturday evening in Exeter, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. May 11, in the 100 block of South G Street.
Authorities said neighbors notified them after seeing smoke from the house. The county firefighters and Exeter police responded and started battling the fire. Farmersville Fire Department crews also went to the scene to assist in fighting the blaze.
Fire Incident Injures 3, Including Firefighter and Exeter Police Officer
One person inside the home was injured in the incident and was taken to a hospital by family members.
A firefighter sustained heat-related injuries and was treated at the scene.
An Exeter police officer suffered smoke inhalation injuries and was taken to Delta Medical Center for treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
