Coarsegold, California (May 29, 2019) – One of the three people who were injured Monday afternoon in a traffic collision in Coarsegold has been identified as Tristin Jacobs, 21, according to a local news source.

The accident occurred at around 2:45 p.m. Monday, May 27 on Highway 41, just north of Yosemite Springs Parkway.

As per the report, a 1998 Mazda truck driven by Jacobs, was traveling southbound on Highway 41 while a 2017 Ford F150 was stopped to make a left turn in the southbound lane of Highway 41, directly ahead of the Mazda.

Jacobs attempted to stop but was unsuccessful and his vehicle crashed into the rear of the Ford.

Jacobs and the driver of the Ford sustained moderate to major injuries and were taken by ground ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center. A passenger in the Ford was airlifted to a hospital with possibly major injuries.

Highway 41 was blocked as the crews worked to clear the scene and as 3:37 p.m. both lanes were reopened.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
