Trinity County, California (April 21, 2019) – Two people were hopitalized after being involved in a rafting accident on Friday afternoon in Trinity County, according to the CHP.

The incident was reported at about 3 p.m. April 19, in the Trinity River.

Authorities responded to reports of two people stuck in the river following the accident.

A CHP helicopter was used to rescue the victims from the water.

The victims were transported to a hospital and were expected to make full recovery.

The identities of the parties involved and how the accident took place were not revealed.

The accident is under under investigation.
