Man Killed in Traver Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 near Merritt Drive
Traver, California (April 9, 2020) – A man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident involving a UPS truck on Wednesday evening in Traver, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. April 8, on Highway 99 near Merritt Drive.
Troopers said a man driving northbound on Highway 99 stopped when his tire blew out. As he was checking the damage to his vehicle, a northbound UPS truck struck him.

The victim, identified as an 18-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the UPS stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
