Trabuco Canyon, California (April 26, 2021) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a single-car accident that happened Sunday night at an intersection in Trabuco Canyon, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities received reports about the crash at around 11:33 p.m. at Live Oak Canyon Road and Monastery Road.

Firefighters responded to the scene to find an overturned car and the driver out of the vehicle. A pole at the crash scene was also downed.

It was not immediately determined what transpired leading to the accident.

One person suffered major injuries in the crash, including broken bones. The patient was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment.

No other details about the incident were available.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
