Ting Leutmixay Injured in Fatal DUI Crash on Interstate 5 in Gerber
Ting Leutmixay ID’d as 5-Year-Old Child Seriously Injured in Fatal Gerber Car Crash on Interstate 5 near Tehama Avenue

Gerber, California (December 4, 2020) – Ting Leutmixay, 5, of Weed, has been identified as the child who was seriously injured in a suspected DUI crash that killed a 64-year-old woman on Tuesday night in Gerber, authorities said.
The deadly two-vehicle accident happened at about 11:40 p.m., on December 2, on Interstate 5 near Tehama Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Mohammad Khesrawi, 52, of Lathrop, was traveling northbound on the roadway when it rear-ended a 2009 Subaru Forester.
As a result of the crash impact, the Subaru, driven by Ea Douangaphay, 40, of Weed, that was also headed northbound on the freeway, went off the roadway and overturned, the officials said.
Ting Leutmixay Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5
Buakhay Douangaphay, 64, of Weed, who was a passenger in the Subaru, was ejected onto the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Leutmixay sustained major injuries, including a broken arm and leg. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for treatment.
Both Ea Douangaphay, who was not injured, and Leutmixay were reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Khesrawi suffered minor injuries in the accident. CHP arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
