Timothy Skobel ID’d as Squaw Valley Man Killed in Gorman Pedestrian Accident on Copco Avenue near Golden State (5) Freeway
Gorman, California (July 7, 2021) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle Friday night in Gorman as Timothy Skobel, 59, of Squaw Valley.
The deadly accident happened at around 9:28 p.m. Friday, July 2, in the 45100 block of Copco Avenue near the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said Skobel was struck by a black Dodge Challenger on Copco Avenue.
Squaw Valley Man Killed in Gorman Crash Identified
First responders arrived at the scene and found Skobel lying on the roadway. Sadly, he was pronounced at the scene.
The man driving the Challenger reportedly stopped at the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.
