3 Killed in San Ysidro Crash on I-5 near State Route 905
San Ysidro, California (June 4, 2021) – Three people were killed in a wrong-way traffic collision on Friday morning in San Ysidro, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on I-5 near State Route 905 at around 10:25 a.m.
According to CHP, a car was speeding northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 when it collided with an oncoming vehicle.
One of the involved cars caught fire following the crash.

Two people in the wrong-way vehicle and one in the oncoming car were all killed in the collision.
All lanes of I-5 were closed at SR 905 as authorities examined and cleared the scene.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
