Thomas Theobald Killed in Warner Springs Crash on Highway 79

Warner Springs, California (January 3, 2019) – 66-year-old Thomas Theobald has been identified as the man killed after a traffic collision Friday last week in Warner Springs, San Diego County, a local news source reported.
The accident was logged at 8:42 p.m. Friday, December 28, on Highway 79 near Linton Road.
As per the report, a Ford pickup truck and a Toyota Prius collided head-on at the intersection for reasons still under investigation. Theobald was reportedly driving one of the cars.
He suffered critical injuries as a result of the collision and was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center where he was admitted in the emergency room.
Theobald suffered multiple fractures and never regained consciousness. He succumbed to his injuries the following morning at 1:47 a.m.
It’s unclear if anyone else was hurt in the collision.
An investigation is underway.
