Tulare County, California (July 13, 2019) – A 38-year-old Terra Bella man was killed Friday morning in a traffic accident in Tulare County, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident happened shortly before 7:00 a.m. Friday, July 12 on Road 248, just north of Avenue 82.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Terra Bella man was driving a black Ford pickup truck southbound on Road 248 at unknown speed while a 68-year-old Ducor man was operating a white Kenworth tractor, towing a blue Super dump trailer northbound.

As the two vehicles approached, the Terra Bella man allowed his Ford to cross partially into the path of the Kenworth.

The Ducor man turned the Kenworth to the right in an evasive manner, partially driving into the dirt shoulder on the east side of the roadway. The Ford hit the left side of the Kenworth and then continued forward and struck both the front and rear left tires of the Super dump trailer.

As a result of the collision, the two trailer axles detached and the trailer rolled over on the east shoulder while the Ford rotated in a counterclockwise direction and stopped on the west edge of the roadway, facing in a northwestern direction.

The Kenworth stopped in the northbound lane, facing in a northwest direction.
