Temecula, CA: Major Injury 2-Vehicle Crash on Rancho California Road and Interstate 15
Driver Seriously Injured in Temecula Car Accident on Rancho California Road and Interstate 15 Freeway; Domingo Cruz Sought
Temecula, California (June 25, 2020) – A driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Temecula, according to authorities.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, on Rancho California Road and Interstate 15 Freeway overpass.
The authorities said a green Toyota pick-up truck was heading westbound on Rancho California Road when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the driver’s side of a black Jeep Patriot that was exiting the I-15 Freeway southbound off-ramp and making a left hand turn onto Rancho California Road.
After the impact, the Jeep rolled over, trapping the driver.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the trapped driver from the vehicle. The victim was then transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Domingo Cruz, 40, fled the scene on foot.
